We successfully celebrated our Valentine's Day on Saturday evening with a trip to our favorite local tavern for pizza and then a trip to Wal-Mart. Wow! Did I just say that.....LOL!
Any who.....Here is my Valentine stitching for the year. The flower pot was a gift that I received at a retreat in January. The finishing idea came from our hostess Barb at Keepsakes. The pattern is a freebie from Gigi Online.
I really enjoyed finishing this one.
We had a great day at school today. Imagine 26 first graders anticipating the $2000 worth of sugar sitting there all morning. We had so much "stuff" it took us 45 minutes to pass it out.
I don't know how they held it together waiting for the party but they did.
We had so much fun passing out Valentine's and enjoying our treats. A good time was had by all.
Happy Valentine's Day
Keep on stitchin' on,
Nan

Looks awesome!!!! I haven't even touched mine since I got home from the retreat...
DH folded up all the weekend's washed & dried laundry today - he called me at work to let me know that this was his Valentine’s Day gift to me. Guess what - I am very pleased with that gift! (I am not kidding, mind you!)
Happy Valentine’s Day from one low maintenance girl to another! :-D
I think tavern pizza sounds like a good Valentine's celebration to me!
YIPPPEEE .....we had ours sugared up by noon and had a BIG day too!! Love the freebie and cute cute finish!!! YGG
Your Valentine stitchy is terrific. I love the design and the finish is just too cute! I am amazed at all the ways there is now to "finish" our stitching.
You got a meal out - I fixed DH his favorite meal, and he brought me flowers - pretty good.
That is so beautiful, love that color.
what a perfect display of Valentines! It looks perfect in that cup!!!!!
Oh, how I remember the V Day parties at school! I was always a room mom, so I had to be there for them!!!!!
Darling Valentine's Day pieces. So glad your 1st graders had a great party yesterday--I still remember how much I looked forward to Valentine's Day parties when I was a child--always hoping for that special valentine from some cute, little boy :)
very very cute! tutorial on how to...... :) I really like that idea.
glad you got your litte guys all sugared up. my nephew (in 2nd grade) and niece (in preschool) both came home to me all sugared up. LOL but they shared with Aunt Karen. :)
Lovely V'day's finish! A lovely way of finishing it too.
Nice stitching, what a unique way of finishing and displaying.
That is a neat finishing on your valentine piece.
How sweet is this? Growing from a flower pot, no less! Very nice job. I like how your Snowman turned out, too! Perfection!
Your Valentine turned out great! I asked my grandson if he gave out candy (I was looking at his haul of Valentines)and he said 'no, I don't want to rot my friends teeth.' So I said, well, I guess your friends want to rot out your teeth'. Head snap - WHAT!
