Easter Sampler

Hippity Hop!

This is just a quick drive-by post to say hi and record my Easter Sampler in blogland.  I had to do a quick stitch to keep me motivated.  I am working on a larger design and started losing my stitching mojo.  So, I thought a finish would help me back on the stitching wagon.  Does that ever happen to you?
I envy the stitchers I see working on huge projects.....I have finished a few but my attention span seems to be getting shorter as I get older.

Heart in Hand
 Easter Sampler

I decided to frame this one.
My craft room runneth over so my motto right now is to use what I already have.

In the words of my husband (who is very tolerant of my stitching habit and its expenses)
"How much of this S#*T will you ever really use?"

The mat was a cream color which wasn't working for this pattern so I covered it with scrapbooking paper.  Which in the end gave it a nice finish.....I think.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love hearing from you and reading your comments.  You have no idea how much they mean to me.

Keep on stitchin' on,
Nan

very adorable!!!!! I have an 'affection' for anything with the alphabet on it for some reason....
Your Easter sampler is perfect...
I have the same problem with my stitching..if I don't really care for what I am working on, it is amazing how many other things 'find my attention' See my blog post that I just wrote!!!
Happy Stitching!

This bunny is so cute..you did a great job, Nan. The scrapbooking paper is a unique idea to customize your mats!
I know what you mean about needing a diversion from a larger project. That happens to me especially if it has large areas of one color....I tend to get bored and need a change. Usually a small will do it!

What a cute bunny, and the mat is perfect (and may I say the color reminds me of orange sherbet - yum!)

A Bunny ~ of course I love it!!!
My very patient DD sometimes dares to whisper words to that effect but as he is the one that usually says 'my treat' when we are at the cash desk than how can he complain??? xxxx

What a cute finish! Don't you just love scrapbook paper! Love it even more that it is so inexpensive. Great use to mat your finish!

Now....can't wait to see more on your big project... get to stitching!

Very cute finish!! You are really very creative in figuring out so many different ways to finish or improve regular finishes. Great work!!

It's a great idea to do something quick, especially when it's as nice as this one!

I usually have a big and a small project on the go. The big for the evenings when I can stitch uninterrupted and small for daytime I can easily put down and pick up.

My hubby's only complaint is when I want ALL the lights on in the evening and he wants to watch TV in the dark!

Your sampler looks great. I really like your idea of covering a plain mat with scrapbooking pepr to give it a different look.
