Patiently Waiting for SPRING!

Hello Stitching Friends,

We have had some unseasonable warm weather this week in Southern Indiana.
Of course that has me ready to break out the flip flops and suntan oil. :0)
But, I think it will be short lived as the temps will drop back into the 30's this week.

So....to help Spring along I broke out the punch needle this weekend.  I don't get the "urge" to do punch needle very often but I had lots of time on my hands this weekend to do crafty things.  Last weekend I started LHN's Home of a Needleworker.  This is the biggest project I've attempted in a long time.  I've made good progress on it in only a week but I like having finishes to keep me motivated.  I'm hoping to finish Home of a Needleworker by next weekend so I can get it to the frame shop :0).  I've got Springy things that need stitched so I've got to keep moving.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog.  I love reading your comments and they keep me motivated to do what I love.  Have a happy week and...

Keep on stitchin' on,
Nan

That's a great spring design, and will keep us remembering the promise of the past few days that spring will indeed come, as we get back into the freezer this week. Thanks!

Love the colours in your Spring design. We've had nice early spring weather here too, but like you I think it will get colder again pretty soon.

Your punch needle project is the perfect spring statement!! I used to do punch needle back in the
80's, should try and dig it out again. Love the way you finished it!!

That is a really cute design. I love all the colours. I gave punch needle a try several years ago but couldn't quite get the hang of it. I'm tempted to try it again since I see so many great designs using it.

That is pure springtime in a picture! Tell us more about that punchneedle?? Do you follow a printed pattern or draw it on? Then you poke through the fabric with a threaded puncher? It surely is pretty, and your finish is as always cute as pie!!

I'm stitching the 2nd Home of a Needleworker ... which one are you stitching? I'm only working on it one day a week, so you will definitely have yours done before me :)

I love the colors! So happy! Are you going to stitch with Vonna? And by the way, how much floss does it take to do punch needle - I've been curious.
